Weekly Reader Learning System offers a comprehensive educational roster, featuring a wide variety of video-based lessons, and extensive tests and progress reports.  Covering the full elementary school curriculum, from English and history to math and the sciences, the Learning System presents educators with an inclusive educational tool that is easy to use!  Its lessons comprise engaging videos and interactive elements, making it simple to keep students' attention and teach them independent learning skills at the same time.  Intended for grades 1-5, this software was designed by educational experts to both improve grades and increase standardized test scores, and was developed specifically to maximize the effectiveness of multimedia learning.  By using audio, video, images, and text, Mastering Elementary School takes advantage of several different sensory learning methods, to accommodate a wide range of students who absorb commit information to memory in different ways.

With modern capabilities like iPod-ready lessons and cutting-edge graphics, Weekly Reader Learning System will impress teachers and students alike—even parents—with its versatility and its ability to keep students' interest.  The software is so user-friendly that with just a quick and simple tutorial, even the youngest elementary school students will be navigating the lessons in no time!  And with more than eighty lessons to choose from (full listing of lessons below), Mastering Elementary School will be compatible with everyday classroom lessons, standardized test training, homework assignments, and more.  After each lesson, kids can either take a quiz on the computer, where its results are automatically recorded in the Progress Report session, or have a teacher or parent print out the quiz for hard-copy testing.  This makes it easy for educators to pinpoint areas where improvement is most needed, and to reward students when they make visible progress!

Basic categories include English, Literature, U.S. History, World History, Geography, Math, and Science, with numerous sub-topics.  Each lesson comes with a topic glossary and an integrated Merriam-Webster dictionary, which act as great, real-time resources right at students' fingertips.  The Weekly Reader Learning System consists of two DVD-ROMs, is conveniently Windows and Mac compatible, and includes lessons that can be downloaded on to iPod or iPod Nano.
